H.O.M.E. (Helping Ourselves Means Education)

The H.O.M.E. program is an important part of our on-campus support system for non-traditional student parents. This program connects student parents with the campus and community resources needed to continue their education. H.O.M.E. is the only student organization on campus that maintains a focus on providing activities, encouragement, and resources specifically for student parents. At H.O.M.E., we are committed to helping EWU student parents complete their degrees by providing information, networking opportunities, scholarships, and advocacy. H.O.M.E. provides a variety of resources designed to assist students in achieving their goals.

Are you a student with children who is struggling with the expenses associated with daycare? H.O.M.E. uses its resources to fill those gaps by fundraising to provide scholarships to help with daycare expenses. We welcome everu student who is parenting and seeks our assistance.

We create a welcoming environment on-campus for students and their children to take part in activities together. We also encourage networking with other non-traditional students who share the common experiences of parenting while getting an education.

The H.O.M.E. program is affiliated with the Women's and Gender Education Center and is funded in part by ASEWU.
