Industry Certification: QuickBooks Certified User

New Professional Accounting Course: ACCT 323 (Computer Applications for Accountants)

Course provides an opportunity for students to learn current versions of Intuit QuickBooks products through workplace simulations: project-based learning. Students develop new documents from workplace scenarios in order to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. Simulations of workplace scenarios and problems-such as tax planning in real time, automated bank feeds, automated invoicing, interactive mobile apps, etc.-give students hands-on learning experiences to maintain Intuit QuickBooks and communicate using the software features.  The course provides students with opportunities to create and maintain accounts in order to increase productivity and efficiency in the workplace.

Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU) Industry Testing at EWU

Accounting firms are seeking qualified candidates proficient in Intuit QuickBooks. With technological advances, today's accountants act as small business advisors and are required to make faster and better decisions from the readily available data. Students prepare for and take the Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU) certification exam(s) in ACCT 323. Students will develop their technology communication skills, understand how to develop new workplace documents using Intuit QuickBooks, and contain the knowledge to support both the firm's and clients' QuickBooks accounts.
