The interdisciplinary format provides a foundation in the liberal arts --drama, fine art, music, history, science, philosophy, and world literature. Freshman Honors enhances solid critical thinking and composition skills during a student's first year. Students develop the ability to produce quality compositions, as well as to correctly cite works consulted. Honors faculty work one-on-one with students, if needed, to foster English composition skills.

Honors classes are set at a comfortable level and pace; the program has proven to be both valuable and enjoyable for more than 20 years.
